God's Plan of Salvation |
To know that you are saved and on your way to heaven is the most important thing in life. It is more important than money, your job, success and so forth. Your salvation is the main thing on God’s heart. He wants you saved so much that He sent His own Son to die on the cross so that you can have eternal life. Here is God’s plan for your salvation: 1. God said, “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) God has set a standard for man to live by, but we have failed to measure up. We have missed the mark. There is a price for our sin: 2. God said, “The wages of sin is death....” (Romans 6:23) The price of our sin is death, physical, spiritual and eternal. Death is separation, separation of the soul from the body, separation of the soul from God. This separation is forever. 3. “But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) The Bible sentences us to the price of sin which is death. However, because of His great love for us, God put Jesus on the cross to take your place and pay the price of your sin. Sin MUST be paid for and “...Christ died for us.” That means He died in our place. 4. God said, “For whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) God has His ways...... and His ways work. If we want to receive what God has for us, then we must do things God’s way. In this case, God’s way to receive eternal life is by “calling” on the name of the Lord. We do this by prayer. Turn from you sin, ask God to forgive your sin and receive Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord. Receive Him by simple faith. _ Now that you have asked Jesus to save you, here is what you will want to do: 1. Go to a Bible believing and Bible preaching church this Sunday. 2. Go forward at the time of invitation at the end of the service. (Tell the pastor that you have trusted Jesus as your personal Savior.) 3. Follow the Lord in baptism by immersion. 4. Pray and study your Bible daily. Start with the Gospel book of John. 5. Learn to use this plan to help others know how to get to heaven.
